Time for action
Okay, it’s been almost a week since D-land instated this new “feature” for its users. Apparently they’ve been getting a lot of spam diaries advertising nonsense and such, so they’ve left the power with the masses to obliterate them. This in theory is a great idea. See a spam diary, KO it’s useless ass.
My original blog — http://indpndnt-ter.diaryland.com — has been marked as such. When I moved over here, I kept that blog to inform readers there that I update. I also kep that blog because I have seven years worth of archives that I didn’t want to move/save. I should have — hello hindsight — and now they’re lost. Gone. Axed. Finito. Etc. Ad nauseum.
I’ve sent two passionate pleas to D-land (as per their instructions) since my blog isn’t spam. Granted, I’m sure they’re getting a lot of those type of responses and I’m somewhere around #7,394 in the pecking order, but it’s rather irritating. I’m even willing to cut a deal with them: just let me access my archives so I can save them, and I’ll go quietly into that good night. Also: let me take note of the blogs I can’t remember off the top of my head that I read at D-land. That’s all I want, then I’ll add that site to the list of Places On The Internet I No Longer Visit.
Here’s where I need my Two-and-a-Half Semi-Loyal Readers’ help. I need my archives. I want them, crave them, feel lost without them. Send empassioned pleas to help@diaryland.com so that I can get my archives back. Again, my diary handle there is “indpndnt-ter” (sorry about the lack of vowels, my bad). Set my archives free!

Diaryland sucks.
